As a program, The River School strongly supports the development of spoken language and literacy for deaf and hearing children. We also support families in their role as primary decision-makers for their children.

In our efforts to empower families, we encourage families to always consider the needs of their individual child, and the priorities of the family, recognizing that no single approach to parenting, communication, or education is appropriate for every child.
