What is River SPLASH?
River SPLASH! is a campaign to fund the renovation of the spaces that our specials classes use on the first and second floors. Over the summer, we renovated existing space to improve teaching rooms for art, science, drama, music, library and physical education. We are still raising support for this campaign to fund the construction costs, furniture for the library and a new stage in the gym.
How can I support River SPLASH?
We are asking the community to give as generously as possible to enhance our school facilities so it properly reflects our exceptional program. Thanks to generous donors, we have raised $628,747 in gifts and pledges, and will continue fundraising to meet the project expenses. Pledges can be paid over time with fulfillment by January 1, 2011. How can I purchase a River SPLASH! tile?
Commemorate your support with a ceramic tile which will be permanently displayed in our first and second floor hallways. The 6” x 6” tile will feature your name or a designation in memory or honor of someone special. Each tile costs $150. If you have made or intend to make a gift/pledge to the campaign greater than $150, you will receive a complimentary tile. Please complete this Buy A Tile order form.
What did the renovation entail?
- The gymnasium was improved with better acoustics, padding, fresh paint, and a refinished floor with the school logo.
- Music, drama, and the library now all have defined spaces with improved lighting, storage.
- A full size stage with curtain and back stage area was added to the gymnasium.
- Science has a new, larger room.
- Art has a new room with improved lighting, better designed space for students and art storage.
