Outreach and Research Grants
The River School is currently conducting funded research examining language outcomes post-cochlear implant and the social development of children with deafness who use cochlear implants in a mainstream setting.The school is seeking research funding to examine the use of the Early Phonological Awareness Program developed at the school and its efficacy in improving literacy outcomes in young children.
We are also seeking funding to develop new programs and training modules that can be used nationally to improve language and literacy outcomes in at-risk populations.
