About The River School

The River School is located in northwest Washington DC, west of Georgetown and is convenient to both the Maryland and Virginia suburbs. MacArthur Boulevard offers the advantages of a neighborhood setting along with a public library, stores, and parks.

The River School is a community of individuals rather than a building or a campus. It is a group of educators, children, parents, specialists, grandparents, administrators and friends who are dedicated to providing children the very best in early childhood and elementary education. Our community brings together individuals who represent a variety of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds, but we all connect through the goal of helping our children.

The process for enrollment to The River School consists of a parent tour, submission of application and fee, and an applicant play visit.  Applications for Admission are due by January 30 for enrollment for the following September. Decisions are made mid-March for the following school year.
