About The River School

The River School is located in northwest Washington DC, west of Georgetown and is convenient to the Maryland and Virginia suburbs. MacArthur Boulevard offers the advantages of a neighborhood setting along with a public library, stores, and parks.

The River School is a community of individuals rather than a building or a campus. It is a group of educators, children, parents, specialists, grandparents, administrators, and friends who are dedicated to providing the very best in early childhood and elementary education. They represent a variety of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds, but we all connect through the goal of helping our children.

The process for enrollment to The River School consists of a parent tour, application and fee, and an applicant play visit.  Applications for Admission are due by January 30 for enrollment for the following September. Decisions are made mid-March.
