Hattie M. Strong Foundation Grant

The River School has recently been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Hattie M. Strong Foundation in support of our science program at Discovery Creek. The partnership with Discovery Creek allows The River School to expand its science curriculum in scope and instruction time. Children in the five elementary class rooms participate in hands-on environmental science experiences at Discovery Creek’s facility on MacArthur Boulevard, learning to understand and appreciate the natural environment and its inhabitants.

Special thanks to the Hattie M. Strong Foundation for their generous support. The River School is grateful for contributions such as this that it receives from various foundations and individuals. These gifts allow us to enhance our exception program to the benefit of all the children who attend The River School now and in the future.
